Welcome to black bloggers, to locals and broadcast folks. It is 12:00 in the National Football League. Let me start you off with Happy Thanksgiving to all. Happy Thanksgiving to all Thanksgiving. There's always such a great time of the year because we get that triple blessing of well for football and family. You know, I call that a triple blessing. You get the full football and family all together on that one day. I was talking about this holiday show. You know, I was like, OK, I got to make sure I get my workout in. And then what I did, I just start working out around Thanksgiving. Stop. Well, you know, I eat in a workout eating, or let me just stop you. Just call it whatever you put in, whatever you do, you so, so sure that we stay thirsty. I'll get back to work it out Friday. But every Wednesday Thursday, shattered down on the workout only worked out the job, the teeth in it all just swallowing this stomach. That's it. I'm a work. Don't paid that for two days. That's what I worked out. I mean, everything, man. I love it. I just love it. And I've been able to watch some, some very good football, and I want to talk about it because we know cowboys play. I know that the Lions played this year. We got a night game between the Vikings in the Packers. But but but that Thanksgiving Day game we always have that is when I played as an 11 day stretch. You know, you go Sunday, Sunday, Thursday, you have three games in that 11 day stretch. Sandy signing period. The Cowboys went Packers, Vikings, giants Sunday Sun. Be thirsty. And I must admit, I was so disappointed at the start. Of that, the games Thursday against the Giants, I was like, man, this is not what I didn't know what I wanted for the Cowboys. After almost a perfect game plan on Sunday, I wanted to see you come out and take a hold of this, take possession of this and just dump out the giants. But I thought about this a little farther than I thought was 11 days stretches that 11 day stretch. And it's hard to stamp out anybody in 11 day when you play three teams like the Dallas Cowboys who play in it usually works like that. That Thursday team, that Thursday game, it starts a little slow because you still try. You just played two games in and 10 days. Now you're playing, you're playing his third game and you're trying to start. You start a little slower. You happen that way. And the Cowboys stahler slow started a little slow, but they back up and they got back on track. And that was nice to see. It was beautiful to see because now it says, yes, you do have some fight. You do have some grit. And hopefully they there say, we are pretty good. We are pretty good. I think we'll watch in the hatching of the number one seed has truly come into being a number one receiver. No. Yeah, he's not putting up one hundred eight hundred ninety yards, but somebody catches the dude and make it a pretty incredible event. And no. The other night. What a touchdown. That was a pretty incredible night church, and he's making some plays, so I'm so happy for him. And one thing people got to understand and I've said it before, it's so hard to transition from a number to receive to being the number one receiver. When you lose the number one quarterback and having to do it with their number two quarterback. Those are the realities. A CD player, I believe, has accomplished that. So I want to give kudos to him. I will give kudos to Michael Gallup and where he's stepping out and stepping in his own now. But I'm not buying that, Mr. Steven. They to do to me. We're worried about getting Michael girl. What am I getting on with about my gallery to get Odell Beckham Jr.? I say no. Because Michael Gallup and everybody else know, just like we knew when Diane and I started talking about him, come into play here, listen, we want to win championships. Michael Gallup, they are a CD player and out they are black in June could be a great match for the Dallas Cowboys. I said this and I'm seeing here. You talk about I still believe we can win a Super Bowl without all. But I do believe Whitopia, you got a shot. They're winning more than one Super Bowl. And that's really if they get an opportunity you want a chance to do is to win more than one Super Bowl and Odell Beckham Jr. will give you that, that you are. That's why I'm out there doing my job on the recruitment man older, can you imagine may you have this kind of game in doubt? You always do this. You have to get. We have great game to you. Imagine if you had a little over a year or nine and over a year. All right. Did AT&T Stadium, you took my eyeballs on you. You dogged about raising up your cue? No, all accused of not pushing for all of the popular stuff that Odell Beckham Jr.. What was what was beyond it being gay? Trust me, it is big. The Dallas Cowboys here shine a bright light on you brighter than any light you ever had to deal. You know, you you work best with the bright light side, don't you want everybody to see? And there is no one with a bigger, brighter light than the Dallas Cowboys cowboy. Stop playing me this perfect marriage together. And then let's go make some beautiful kids. Joe Lombardi trophies, that's what we're trying to do, Buddy. Come on, let's stop playing, man. Let's stop messing around. That was my public tours. Now I will be it in McAllen doing my private thing too, because I just want to see. I just want to see whether it be. If we haven't got that beast over here to. You know what I'm saying? That be over here. Also, everybody will be talking about that for the next few weeks until he gets fully, he makes up his mind and signed with somebody. So we will be watching or we will keep trying to get over there right here, only in my peak. So you gain here or you're so speaking to hear it for yourself. Man, I can't tell you how much I love talking to this dude that I'm about to talk to. He's such a gifted and talented young man. And he's done so many things at so many levels. And I get to watch him and even work with him some over the years period. He is hauling this crap. Had a great career in football and he's going to have a great career in broadcast, joining the i p Marcus Spears next. Do you own or rent your home? Sure, you do. And I bet it can be hard work. You know what's easy? Bundling policies with Geico? Geico makes it easy to bundle your home owners are renters insurance along with your auto policy. It's a good thing, too, because you already have so much to do around your home. Go to Geico.com, get a quote and see how much you could save. It's Geico easy. Busy guy kokum today. That's Geico.com joining in my this man like me and I always say I got to work for three great franchises. And so what is man be able to say? He has some great franchises in New Journey. He started at LSU, then went to the Dallas Cowboys and now. We're ESPN. Those are three damn good for a great job. If you're going to say, well, you know, joining me, my man, my teammate over the years, creator Marcus Spears. Marcus Smart, thanks for taking the time. I can't tell you how I've been looking forward to just breaking it down with you and Chad. You know they are. You know what, man? You know this an honor for me, brother, one of the legends in the game. I feel honored for you to have me on the podcast, but more importantly, I'm glad we was able to make this thing happen. Man, I know we've been talking for a minute. And your schedule is nuts, just like man. So I'm glad we can get together, man. Well, but I I'm so thankful that God gave me your schedule because you're serving that. That's what I tell young football players to lose me. Start learning how to say to yourself, Well, what about your career, right? Matt started doing it right now. Don't wait. Do it right now. You know what I'm saying? I try to tell that. And did you get a chance to do that, Marcus? While you would? Where were you setting yourself up for this career you have right now? Well, you know, you know, we have a distinct advantage playing in Dallas, man. We got media availability every day. And then to like you guys, set a standard where everybody was going to pay attention to the Dallas Cowboys and it didn't matter. And this the thing that I love about my career. It didn't matter. I'm a no Pro Bowls. I wasn't all pro. I won't have a gold jacket, but I had on the job training for how to handle adversity. I had to stand up in their locker room after losses and to stand there when we were having good times. And then all of the connections that you make, I tell people all the time and make no mistake about it, the career, I mean now is directly tied to LSU. But more importantly, they saw that I was on the side of my help. We know what type of value that carries the weight that they carries, especially in the business that we are now. And obviously you've got to have talent with that. But the career was being thought of when I was at LSU or one one of my one of my teachers, one of my professors at LSU, told me they say really as a as an athlete, as a professional athlete, because everybody knew I wanted to go to the NFL, they said the only way people are going to know you is through the media. So how do you want to be perceived? And then at some point you may want to go out and do that, and it was always my goal or to be honest with you, to go, to be in television or to be on radio and media. Some capacity, so is working out, man. I'm a you know, this as well as me. Most of the time, if you just go on a, you know your stuff and you have a good damn time, but people go gravitate to. Right, right, right. But don't underestimate their last part to say you have a good day. I'm tired. I try to listen to people, don't sit out and watch you. They're going to watch you for an hour or two hours, whatever. They don't want your misery. This is down to get away from their misery. So don't be miserable on this TV, though, do they would be like, Wait a minute. I don't know. This is my whole life. I don't need you to bring me, you know what I'm saying? That's why I love watching you guys, man. You got to do such a great job. Everything you do, you really do because you also make your point and keep making it fun. And all the talks more about that idea to you about this Thanksgiving Day marks. I want to bring you on, especially around Thanksgiving, because we got to play on. Everything is giving a game, you know, played for the Cowboys and you know that. So what was that like? First of all, how was it Thanksgiving with your family yesterday? And then talk to me about your fondest Thanksgiving Day memories made Thanksgiving. It was great. Well, we had we had about 20 people yesterday. You know, they cook good and, you know, I just a good, you know, meet, you know, me or I like to cook, man. So I was out there on the grill. I put some free, I put some fish down in the grease and it was a big fella. Always think y'all can cook. You know, we all get like this just by accident, and you got to know how to feed yourself at some point, man. But now we had a good time. It was a good start. I love being around a lot of family on holidays. Oh, so we kicked it, man. We kicked it in there. You know what happened next, man? We made them plates and that on football game all and once that football game on TV, it ain't much going on around. You ain't no peripheral vision I'm looking at. I'm looking at the two, but for now I'm going to do. We ate good prey. We everybody kind of reconnected and got back, you know, centered. And that's what I tell people about my family man. Like, when we all get together, it's for everybody to get center, like a real point. You and me, we all planes. We travel and we got we got all of this stuff, they come in the way of that really important stuff. So the holidays more broadly, they just bring me back to the center man. I was around my people. I'm talking to people that knew me since I was five and six years old. You know, it's good when the Monty's kissing you and they telling you, you're they proud you? Yeah, yeah. Going off on the would be proud of you. You know? So yeah, man, it was. It was a good time to be in that football table. Yeah, y'all do like we do. I had about 25 people here, too. Every year will do. We'll get around, we'll hold hands, you know, and I'll start. We got to go. And also the everybody has to say what they're most thankful for. You know, and then it'll come to me and I'll say what I think for me and pray over the meal and we sit down and eat. Now I'm not old as our brothers and sisters are much older than me. But you know, Marcus, it's in my house and I'm paying for everything. So how do you know, how did we make what you see? A new mother is the best thing at all. When you see, you know, your old aunts and your mom or grandma, mother, mother-in-law and a like, how you know, that's a child, God always told me, you will be doing the gravy. That's what they say you need at every job. Now, God always told me, You know, baby, you know what? Say, I know you had to hear that a lot. That's all it takes. You know, I got to pray. I had a great grandmother and a great auntie, and they still be trying to put hands on you. Literally, right? Right, right. I tell my mom, I said, I said, Baby, she's a baby. I go, Let me stay as a baby. As best I can give you is preaching on this stage. I might be able to talk to talk, but I do know one thing that won't have a real freedom on the day for me. So let me just do it this way. You know, these are God's gift. God's word, is it? It's always good to have no Martin, you know, and I always say, do my things always work out because I truly believe for me, I truly believe and I make no bones about it. But I take care of my best, my old one that I know with standing in that prayer room for a moment, Hey, I take you to get it by you to help me out together. And I always say, I'm going to be good, cause God knows we can get it through me. He'll give it to me. I'm going to give it a little prayer like that play. And if you cheat, will he go choo choo choo choo choo? That's my children. Or you know what, man is? I'm glad you said, No, we ain't here because I was right. You know that better all the time. I'm going to do my mama. The sacrifices, my daddy, my grandma, the sacrifice. I'm a collection of the people that believed in me, bro. This I like. Yeah, I get we get we on the national stage or people know us and we get celebrated on all things that we do. But more importantly. I'm a make up of all the people that raised me, and I never forget that. That's why I can handle playing in Dallas. I can handle playing on the world stage because at the end of the day and I tell my wife now, man, I'm married, three kids and my mom lives with this as well. When I come in this house, I only get about five people have been right. I worry about I worry about all the other stuff my you that tell me that to the to my will, I wish you know what I mean. I knew that man. Any man, even a house, would be a quarter for my mom and my mother in law of water. Now I'm with you. The other day, I was going to see my mom, but it was really my mother in law's. Yeah, in the hospital. Not really my mother. Well, I'm a case of market. She and I are so close. My mother and my mom and my wife were so close. Which way? Then I close my eyes and they never tell about it. But my mother in law, Margaret, when I was the bad man, I mean, she was the one that will put me back together. I'm out all night with her as her daughter married to me, but I come in. All nations have baby listen the same any that we're just trying to get us. Let's pray. That's great. We're about looking for food and get some sleep. We all get back up and go, pray some more. We're going to get you on your feet, babe. A rock said to me. Ain't nobody going nowhere. God told me, We're going to be right here, you know, take care of you. And man, I'll give you most of the talking about that, that other fellow that's on to tell me. All right now, more. Take care. Bye. Hey, what? She never got to worry about. The more Dame relationship broke you equally a. Ain't nobody. I know mine knew I was going to mess up my life, right? You know what I'm saying? And I had I had her people support me, but people supported me. My mom lost. I mean, my wife lost a mom at 13. Her grandparents raised them, so she had that old wisdom. Right, right, right. Right, right, right. Oh, great marriage was married 70 plus years. My wife told me, she said, Boy, I married you because I knew what she could be. Not because of what you are right? Not right, right. Oh, thank God for that. And I'm telling you bad. And I'm still I feel I'm still there, man. I'm still working on it. But I tell you, man to do these years. I've been married 16 years now and 30 years, man. I just realize like, you better have it right there if you plan on doing anything right. Right, right. And they got to be strong. You got to have an anchor. You've got to have I told you when they get married, I mean, I should do it. But this thing happened before your body. You getting to April? We need you on the set. Bring your butt home and focus when you going home in full year of year. It was just it was hot one to three hours. Right, right, right. You know, you got you got it. It was different with the folks in football. I told you all day about the market. You come from the same cloth amateurism. No side, no. When I saw it, I knew I love this dope and this joke on March prices. Yes, sir. Oh yeah. March March. My fear that if we do that, you're different, dude. I love spicy. That's why I love to do this. Give me your greatest Thanksgiving Day memory. Let's get into some football again on Thanksgiving. Give me your greatest Thanksgiving Day. I think one time or we had, I think it was Philly or Dallas. I mean, our New York old days give it out. We weren't favorite. I can't remember the year, but McNabb was still there and Feller was playing well and it was all on us. It was all to be fixed. We knew our offense could score. They were. They lead and win points on the board and McNair, McNabb and Westbrook. Ooh, the boys was rolling. You hit me the road and you know, when you know to like a lot of people, get excited that we play on Thanksgiving. But most of the time our Thanksgiving games are vital to what we go do going forward. So this was down to the playoff atmosphere. Right, right, right. And may we get Westbrook and I'm telling me Westbrook ran that damn zone and then we saw the crease that sucker was out of. There are we. I think we only gave up like thirty six yards to him now. You know, that was me. I was a run different, right? And I think we gave up like three guys that get. You know, at the end of the game, that was the first time Purcell said he said Maillol graduated from is yo real real dogs. And I remember that. I remember where he said that dude. It was like a weight lifted off because I came here with me, Chris Canty, Jay Ratliff, the markers where like we had a nucleus for a defense that was supposed to be dominant for a long time and all. May he took them down rains all down next year, we were 13 and three, after that we was 11. If but we would roll it, I'm talking about them young bulbs, they had grown up in the door. But that Thanksgiving game was was kind of like the line of demarcation when he told us, he say, Y'all, y'all finally heard to be some real dog, y'all, a pup is no more. Yeah, it occurred here that Gov. Bill parcelled who. Oh man, come on, man. You know, the compromise was hard to come by. What? Hard to come by? Yeah. And you when you talk about your own history, the greatest Bill Belichick has of history, you don't say so little. No. You know? He is right there. It will be a bill still for some. So when he said that, I'm sure there's so much pride came to, yeah, I mean, if I got Bill, I could get some people around here in this league. I could play for a long time. And you know, it's a great memory as a great memory. I mean, I imagine this, though those days you watch yesterday was decked out in your mind about those games and you treat me to one go Detroit bill. Start there, Detroit bill before you go cowboy John in the Bills game. First of all, man, you got to be heartbroken for Detroit the way they then lost games this year, playing and competing at a high level like they have physical running football team. But Josh Allen delivered and then turn the football over based upon the big say. It's my time now. And you know, this is better as well as anybody. If you will be a championship. Especially when you start talking about, Oh, I watched I watched all in the 90s when it was time to make a play. Literally, your man became a playmaker, but I got to get the ball. I got to. I'm going to be the guy. So when I saw Josh Allen at last possession before they went down to get that field goal and he hung that thing over the middle boy like that came out of Jones machine and it was Diggs on the other end, I said. They finally getting back to players over play. Right, right, right. Right? No. Go ahead on speed. That usually is over play. Is it an illusion? The Championship was that y'all had the championship was that we've seen the last few years. Is players, older players. You can have the greatest play caller, but it was like no massive diamond ring that I now know. That's our reveal it. Matt Stafford England have Odell Beckham Junior Cooper Kupp out there going crazy. Baker plays a bear and ain't gonna get to the quarterback at the end of games. It's players. Oubre plays an old guy, so I think Buffalo. I think a little bit, erm, I said this last week, I think they start buying the hype a little bit. I think in the mind, they start kind of believing that, you know, we we are these, so we supposed to just move through this. And then when we get to the playoffs, we are man this league hard. You tell people all the time. Week to week. And I try to like that that Buffalo Detroit game I tell people man in is so crazy. The difference between fitting the one in one and putting them in that field is so tiny. I got to tell you, Joe, good way, player. You know anybody can be beat. Oh. And then when they come to Dallas or I think, I think, killing more the most important person in that building when it come to what Dallas can actually do. Oh, we have all these conversations about Dak. Is that good or not? But that is a good quarterback. You can win a championship with that. We look around this, we look around this team. You had a young offensive line coming into the season. They're starting to jail. The penalties still were in me. But more importantly, you you win a game against the Jazz with two interceptions. You have a chance and you have a chance to beat Green Bay a couple of weeks ago with two interceptions. So the elimination of the mistakes you go makes on this. The league, the other the ones on the other side of the line of scrimmage did paid do right. They didn't pay the play at a very high level, too, but what I saw them do against Minnesota. And what I saw them against the Giants in what could have been a bad situation with them turnovers. This team is really brand to have some success when they get to the postseason. Now here is our. Kelly, more can get stupid, right? Last year, we 12 went four last year. And then we get down towards the end of the season. We still want to throw the ball all over the globe, right? Right, right. That ain't us. It ain't us. This team thrives on getting the ball and playmakers hands and allowing that to push that ball downfield when this right arm. And that's what I saw yesterday. I saw the most impressive thing I saw from Dallas is a poise team in the middle of adversity got me through. That's what I saw. Oh, and I think that's what you got to care of me. Because Lou, when you play the forty Niners in the playoffs, it's going to be a lot of adversity, right? When you played, if you got to see Minnesota get it ain't going to be fought in a three. Oh, so that's what I saw yesterday, man, it. I was about, you know what? And I said, my think I was, I was, I want to see them black up. Almost that perfect game against Minnesota. But but amongst the more and more I thought about it because I thought I started from, we'd be playing these things. You mean, wait a minute, don't you remember what we used to say? Do that's three games in 11 days, in 11 days a three game? Yeah, that might have been unrealistic for me to expect them on a third game in 11 days to do what they did. You know what I'm saying? And that's how I I said, OK, OK, but I want to see it. You had a fight with me. You say, you're right and it came back. But I also wanted to give. I thought, Ajayi deserves some credit, man. He showed up to play. You know, he had backs against the wall. You talked about Detroit, Man Detroit and how hard is fighting the Giants. You're fighting hard, though. Some teams in there with new coaches. And you know what's been the one that's doing pretty good. And Minnesota needed that win last night. Man, it big time. They needed that break coming off of what they came over and to where I like what you said about the Giants, man. Here's what I'm what I think we Dallas is going to have to continue to stay aggressive because they bowl a hell of a coach. And you better be a good thing. We got him twice this year and we got to start focusing on making sure that this division don't become out of reach when it comes to talent because you see what everybody's doing in this club, right? I mean, in this division. So Dallas right now is in a luxury spot because they have the best quarterback in the division and they've they've actually experience winning more than everybody else, right? You think about Daniel Jones. I know Jalen Hurts in Philly is tough. That's a better league team. New York don't have the personnel right now to be to have stay in power, right? I think they got a coach in the infrastructure is in place. Dallas right now is in a critical time from a franchise standpoint between Jerry and Stephen, and Will McLain got to stay aggressive. You've got to keep bringing players in here. You got to keep develop. The one thing that was doesn't get enough credit for as they've developed a lot of these young talent. Oh yeah, I love I like OBJ getting OBJ. But if he held the dome out, right? Oh, but what? We need to stay aggressive in finding the pieces that fit man, because it is it is going to be a division like for the next two or three years. There's going to be full of young clubs that's growing up and we got to make sure we stay here today, right? Yeah, if we're talking about. Because I thought about when they were filling guys who are like, Oh, what's going on over here? I mean, you saw results in that right away right now in Wyoming. I got a call for help with this, but that's what you mean. You got anything stride for right now. With everybody rolling out, their man in the mouth is no matter what you see with the press to, you know, a lot of talk about about my job, right? Yeah, we played much better. I thought he started to turn the corner and played better after what they put him through. And in New England, with Josh, their new right? What do you see happening with Matt now? Or it's all women or men. Well, because. If, Matt, I think Meg is fine, let me say that first. But man, when we start having conversations about like quarterbacks in the AFC, you got you got Patrick Mahomes, you got Josh Allen, you got just heard of who I think is a better quarterback. Had some injuries to his. You got to hear what he doing with Tariq UJA in the water. I don't see the line of old school football. Having the type of hole that Belichick was able to have with Tom Brady and being able to beat these dudes for anything significant. Right. And think about this, or what if the jets get that quarterback situation wrong in the jets right now, down throughout the roster for a better team than doing it right? They just don't have that one position that's going to determine the difference when you need to make a play at the end of the game. Oh, I like Matt. I think Mike is a solid quarterback. I think Max Ceiling is Kirk Cousins. Mm-Hmm. That's what I think is in the news. He's a precision passer or accurate passer, limited athletically. And that's why Irv, I was losing my mind when people saw my San Francisco was not taken third overall. I just I didn't see the level of I'm a live view above what you saw based on my talent and my skill set. I just didn't see it. Oh, but I think New England, it will be all they want to stay in that vein of. Don't turn the football over. Less less grand is playing out for four quarters to see if we can make plays at the end of games. And if you got Mac as a quarterback, that's very feasible because he's not going to take many chances and turn the football over at a high clip. So you have a chance, like in games like they have against the Jets when they return to punt on me. Yeah, I want to win the game at the end of the game, but nominal but normal game will win this game on a punt return and my defense, they'll be juggling three point two. So I try to tell these people, you know, certain games come about that it's bigger than the scoreboard. Yes, that was a that was a check your gut, check your main game for the jets. I knew if they lose that game, Turnbull was going to be on the other side. I will. You knew that. You knew that because because what other pages are trying to do now is trying to test that, that whole feel they had over the jets for the last year over all these new young Andrew Young songs, Gardner Debris who don't even know that stuff. That's why the fight was so big. And then your boy to get up there and not say what he needed to say, like, well, what were your thoughts on that when he didn't take full responsibility for it? It was it. It just seemed so arrogant to me. One, because you know this better than anybody being the type of player you were. It made you better. You got to earn the right to say whatever you want to say, right? You get up there on that podium. You better have some type you. You better have put so much work in before you respond like that that people don't even think about it. They say, you're right that we need to get better. Right. But but but Zach Wilson a grenade? Yeah. And then when we look at the actual game where you have negative thirty three yards in the second and you starting quarterback for a team that your defense held the three points the entire game. And for you to say you didn't feel like you let anybody down. So who let them down? Right? And my thing is this you or you know that New York market, you know, eat you up, eat you up. This kid came from BYU, right? Very, very isolated. Not having to deal with the things that you deal with here. He was the man at BYU. We all wanted to make him the greatest thing yet because he threw a 70 yard pass in the callback, which we see three full quarterbacks every year to do it. Oh, and you got to be built a certain way in that market. And he not yet. Now I'm not going to give up on the and I don't think he I will think he the worst thing ever. But he's not built for that market in that type of scrutiny that he's going to face, not taking ownership, right? And that's the one thing it came to my mind. The one thing Eli Manning used to do. And I remember where he was playing for the Giants. The one thing he used to do because he has so many veterans on their team strain and Justin Tuck and all that old guy. Eli, I used to be like, I got to play better. These guys did their job. I got to play better and not at the New York media didn't rain down on them, but at least they say it may lie acknowledged that it was him. He needed to play better, and that's what Zach is, hopefully as a young brain, and he realized that was an opportunity missed and they can move forward. But now he's been banished. So now, now it's about a place of real adversity and see who he is as a as a football player and a mate. Right. And that's what I worry about, Marcus, because I say to myself the key to answer the question important properly and properly. In a press conference at 22 23 years old lot that we put on a 22 23 year old, this team is six year four. I mean, nobody gave him a chance before his six right, who is six right now? So say you're here. I don't want the jets to become what it called her. OK, now you let this young talent go and now you're spinning your wheels cause you got good talent ready to win. Now you're trying to go to these old quarterbacks. Hey, you know, maybe A-Rod's end up there somewhere somehow. But you know what I'm saying, boy, you can grow you a young quarterback and get him in the right place. You know, I didn't teach him or how to handle his fresh problem. Yes. He just said, I think you just send me all I need to do something I doubt, you know, I just don't, I hope. But Geno, if I said, Geno, we're all as far as where you can get away from New York, and he's got a great six seven abrasive because because they don't just give him love over there, you know? And I hope this kid, I like that he has because I thought he was fighting the media when he answered that question. Hang on, let's all. Instead of fighting for his teammates stealing, I got to fight him. Like, I let all this win. Yes, I got to play better because I need my teammates to hear that. That's where he went wrong. He missed it, and I see it like that. You know, it was reported that he apologized and I tweeted out, that's a step in the right direction. And I tell everybody, You know this man? The locker room is such a fragile place when it comes to honesty and truth. I can even I can see that I can be OK with you a day later after you got in my a*s about playing bad. Right, right? But I can't. I can't be with you. If you go tell the public that you and I had an argument that I was playing bad. That takes a little bit longer. Oh, right. And I thought that was the I thought that was the only thing I say. I mean, if you go in the locker room. And you acknowledge, Hey, Fellows, I got a play number that's on me, right? And after just saying that in the media, they have been over that body before whereby they got out of the locker room because they know that when did they know what you said to them is, OK? And you say, Boy boy, it would have got it. You were just fighting the media. You are able to reopen your locker. Yes. So I think, man, I think, look, I don't know if that will be good or not. I know we got some talent and a lot of this stuff, you know, is about being in the right situation as a young player. But I think you'll be OK, man. I mean, but we've got to see we've got the right man for this. We're about to see Mike. I know I did for that purpose, but my goal is to get out of here, man. But I love talking to you, my brother and to you. Give give me one last name out for you. What do you want to take this mark? You got so much, so many gifts for me in town. I remember telling Stephenie when we first started in this business, he he had all these ideas to create where he wanted to go or what he wanted to do. And he'd walk in that. I welcomed them locking it up and I said, God, all the time, man, thank you for letting me see journeys in other people's lives. They told me where they wanted to go, and I got to see that they going, You know what I mean? This is crazy. So I had to let the other people, man. You got so many gifts and talents, man. Where do you want to take this thing all to me? Just tell me that, and then I'm gonna let you get out of here. Irv, ultimately, for me, man, I want to eventually be able to have my own show, and I want to bring people like your cell phone. And we have these type of conversations as opposed to the, you know, the three to two minute clips. Well, we can't really get into it. And then the other thing, man, I want to be on one of these pregame shows and I don't know what's one. I just know that I know that leading into a Sunday on the NFL, I watch you and your guys on the NFL Network. I watch the Fox crew, I watch our Sunday Cowbell crew, our Monday countdown crew. And to me, like the elements, I want to be in the elevator. So. So that's that's that's that's the next the next phase of where I want to do it. It's too I want to do. I want to do some stuff behind camera. I want to tell some people stories and produce and be able to tell stories about people that, you know, that could have had a chance or they had a chance and lost it or the success stories of NFL players, NBA players after they get done. Like nobody telling our stories or everybody loves to say that NFL players go broke three years after being able to leave. You know, we hear about the stories when guys aren't doing well, but man, we got CEOs, we got a Fortune 500 company. Guys that came out of the NFL. We got guys weren't a hedge funds. We got guys doing open heart surgery. We got like all of them, you've got guys like you and I in the media that's thriving and having successful careers. And I just don't see enough people telling them stories. So that's something I want to do to where I keep telling those stories of the Bible, says God. Still right in the Bible. We just got to keep telling the story of each other those stories. No one appreciates a marvelous man. I really enjoyed this conversation, man. So glad we got the time.
